Newzik provides you with many tools to facilitate your daily use of digital scores, but the different media you use can also be of great help if you learn the ins and outs!
In this article, we will see how to import and export a selection on an iOS device.
The shortcut application is an application that is automatically set up on all your iOS devices. It allows you to store all the shortcuts to your various applications. If you’ve deleted it before, just download it again from the app store.
Don’t panic, if you’ve never used an iOS shortcut and it seems very complex, follow each of the steps indicated and in less than 4 minutes your shortcut is installed and ready to use!
Situation 1: This is your first Siri shortcut
Here is a visual explanation on how to do it :

Step 1: Go to the “Gallery” section of the “Shortcuts” application and choose a suggested shortcut by clicking on the + button
Step 2: Name your shortcut and click on “Add to Siri”.
Step 3: In your iOS device settings, allow untrusted shortcuts in the settings
Step 4: Go back to your app!
Step 5: Click on the link “export & reimport page range”
(action to be done from an iOS device, otherwise it won’t work…)
Step 6: Name the keyboard shortcut and click on “add an untrusted shortcut”. Personally I named it “export and import partitions shortcut in Newzik”.
Step 7: Go to the “My Shortcuts” section
Step 8: You can be proud of yourself, your shortcut is installed!
Situation 2: You have already saved a shortcut on your device
Step 1: Click on the link “export & reimport page range”
(action to be done from an iOS device, otherwise it won’t work…)
Step 2: Name the keyboard shortcut. Personally I named it “export and import partitions shortcut in Newzik”.
Step 3: Click on “add an untrusted shortcut”.
Step 4: Go to the “My Shortcuts” section
Step 5: You can be proud of yourself, your shortcut is installed!
You can now go back to Newzik and try your brand new shortcut! It will allow you, for example, to split a songbook into different pieces. Handy right?
Stay tuned, more iOS shortcuts are coming very soon in our blog to facilitate your use of digital scores on your devices.
