A Perfect Pair with Dorico on iPad/iPhone
I use Newzik in conjunction with Dorico to edit my scores. My workflow involves using Newzik’s real-time score recognition, then exporting the file in XML format to Dorico. I make the final edits in Dorico before reimporting the file as XML into Newzik. Newzik then helps me with playback. Newzik is very stable, has exceptional features, and is constantly being improved. Cloud synchronization also works very well. What more could you ask for?

The OMR is superb
I subscribed to Newzik for its OMR (optical music recognition). It rarely makes mistakes. I had used more expensive programs before, and they were always disappointing. So for me, the OMR alone is worth the price of the license.

This app is awesome!!!
First of all, I would like to thank the developers of this application. I think it's great, especially for its user-friendliness and sleek interface, as well as the ability to convert my scores into Livescore and scan scores to convert them into PDF and/or MusicXML files. Also, adding multiple scores at once to the library is a breeze, and the setlists that can be sorted as desired are impeccable. The page turner is also very useful even without using a pedal.

I've had it since this app was first created, and it keeps getting better and better. It now replaces all the other apps I used to use. I really like the playlists, the split screen, the multitude of import options, annotations, etc. What's more, the support team is very responsive.

A very comprehensive product
This is truly an excellent product that offers many useful features. Even though I’ve been building up a huge library for years in a well-known competing app, I bought Newzik because of its capabilities. It was especially the MusicXML file import feature that won me over. I use my music composition (or sheet music digitization) apps and export the music to Newzik. It works like a charm!

Every conductor should have one
As an amateur conductor, I often need to slightly adapt the score to the musicians’ skill level or the instruments available. This requires rewriting the score for specific instruments, a time-consuming task that’s prone to errors. That’s where Optical Music Recognition (OMR) comes in—a highly complex field for which several tools exist. I’ve constantly tested different methods, but I’ve finally found the ideal solution with Newzik. I use it daily, mainly for the purpose mentioned above, and the Pro subscription pays for itself very quickly. Exporting to MusicXML format is very reliable and produces very well-written scores. Customer service is also very responsive and efficient. It’s therefore an essential tool for anyone looking for an effective way to play music from a PDF file and then adapt it to their needs.

Replaced forScore for me
The ability to read XML files, synchronize multiple iPads, and the fact that scores are linked to an account (so I can find my scores and playlists on any iPad by logging into my account) convinced me to take the plunge. Updates are frequent and take user feedback into account—well done!

I use it every day.
As an amateur harpsichordist and organist, I use this software almost every day.
Nothing is perfect in this world, and there are two features I particularly miss:
- a tuning for early instruments (415 Hz, for example) without transposition, so that I can play with the other parts of an ensemble.
- an effective way of turning pages without using my hands or feet (for use on the organ); I didn't find the proposed solution very effective.
